    Discussion on high resolution 3-D seismic acquisition technology in BZ area

    • The source-reservoir-cap assemblages of YB block are very good and so the area is a beneficial one for exploration in BZ, northeast Sichuan basin. The surface is mountainous with many barriers, making it difficult for field acquisition. The target horizons are deeply buried with a long stretch. Most of the geologic targets are subtle structures with thin layers, reef-beach bodies, overlapping bodies, and lithologic traps, etc. Therefore, the improvement of resolution and the ability for recognizing subtle structures are the key problems to be solved for 3-D seismic exploration of YB block. The 3-D seismic acquisition method for improving resolution was studied. Finally, the technology with detailed surface structure investigation, optimization of shooting and receiving parameters by snap shots of wave field, and optimization of 3-D survey design was formed. The model test and actual application results show that the resolution of seismic data has been greatly improved and the geologic characteristics of exploration targets are clearer, quite capable of satisfying the requirements of reservoir prediction.
