An adaptive-grid algorithm in 2-D magnetotelluric multiresolution inversion

Abstract
When using regular grids in 2-D rnagnetotelluric (MT) inversion, the coarser the grid, the lower the resolution, and the finer the grid, the worse the inversion stability. In the paper we present an adaptive-grid algorithm to overcome the drawback of the traditional regular gridding method. The numerical examples show that the algorithm has high precision and good stability and is worthy of further research.
