    A new approach for stack velocity analysis

    • This paper presents a new velocity analysis method. On the basis of velocity analysis principle and filtering character of norm L1 and L2, the method assumes that seismic signals and square offsets comply with a certain one order equation at each time for gathers with moveout corrections. Signals and noises are decomposed by hybrid filtering of norm L1 and L2 from seismic data obtained along the hyperbolic curve determined by t0 times and stack velocity. Furthermore, both signal to noise ratio and velocity detection factors can be estimated. Thus the precision of velocity can be improved. The real data results show that the method is practical and feasible.
