The application of microresistivity imaging log in the evaluation of carbonate fracture-vug reservoir in Tahe oilfield

Abstract
Carbonate reservoir in Tahe oilfield that is possessed of porous structures with low porosity, low permeability, strong inhomogeneous and anisotropy characteristics, complex mechanism and characteristics of the porosity and permeability, and results in difficulties of well logging interpretation and reservoir evaluation. The well log responses of the FMI obtained in the carbonate reservoir was analyzed the various applications of the FMI log data. The principle and procedure of correcting the depth on the core data were addressed against. The core photos were detail addressed by using of various conventional and imaging well logs. On the statistical method, the quantitative relationships among fracture parameters and the FMI data are established. Comparison the result from the conventional well logs and other data on the FMI data, showed a criterion of the gra dation of the fractured carbonate formation, and classified the formation into three grades, and it lays a solid foundation for the prediction of the reservoir production.
