Abstract
Based on wide-azimuth 3D seismic acquisition and azimuthal migration data from the flat structure of the Hangjinqi area, Ordos Basin, the braided channel of P1x3 that features a relatively independent and clear reflection interface was selected.Six class channel configuration units were used for pilot and horizontal wells. Then, the reflection characteristics of seismic data in all directions and sequence stratigraphic slices along the stratum were analyzed and compared.Combined with the sudden change in the sedimentary microfacies of the channel bar in the horizontal well in the study area, seismic data parallel to the river channel direction can more accurately depict the continuity of the braided channel and the length of the channel bar than other azimuth data. The prediction accuracy of the thin sandstone reservoir was significantly improved using the proposed method. This is of great significance for the application of 5D seismic technology in the field of reservoir description, and provides a strong basis for data gathering and optimization of azimuth sector division for reservoir identification.
