Abstract:
During oil and gas reservoir exploration and development, for the thin hydrocarbon reservoir with coal seam, seismic reservoir response is overwhelmed by strong reflections from coal seam, so seismic data processing aiming at improving reservoir resolution is necessary. In this paper, we proposed the geological constrained nonlinear inversion method to attenuate the reflections from coal seam and to strengthen the seismic reflections from thin reservoir.Based on this, we proposed well-controlled multi-trace deconvolution to improve seismic data resolution and keep its spatial continuity well. The combination technique has been tested in D gas field in Ordos Basin and effectively solved the prediction problem of thin gas reservoir with coal seam, which has been verified by drilling results.
