Abstract: The dune ringing, which is actually interbed multiples caused by seismic waves travelling in sand beds, is common in land seismic data. Its existence degrades the resolution of seismic data and impedes the identification of significant waves. The paper discusses the methodology of ringing elimination with Radon transformation that used in Omega seismic data processing system. The method is in essence a subtraction one, that is, firstly the undesired signals including multiples are detected and decomposed in τ-p domain, and then they are removed from raw seismic data in t-x domain. The practice on certain working area shows that the method reached desired results.
