Abstract: The Zhong - 1 wellblock is located in the peidmont of Halaalate Mountain, northwestern Zhunger Basin, with a complex surface condition. The objective formation Jurrasic Qigu Formation contains rich viscous crude in the buried depth of 200~ 400m. Production by vertical well is of low effect. In order to make conditions for drilling horizontal well,a 3-D high-resolution seismic survey has been conducted on the atea of 3. 216km². Through the strict field acquisition, fine proccssing, careful calibration and sand tracking, the geological model for the oil-bearing sand bas been got, which provides a basis for the drilling of horizontal well.
