Abstract:
Angle, a parameter that is used to describe fracture strike, is a key parameter in anisotropic research. With angle information, the fast and slow shear waves can be effectively separated, and anisotropic parameters can be determined. This paper proposes a method called angular spectrum to estimate fracture strike on three-component seismic data. The concept, principle, and calculation method of angular spectrum is discussed. The methods for parameter selection and quality control is also presented.
