Abstract:
The integrated geophysics technique in reservoir is more and more important in the reservoir description of rolling exploration and development and in detailed geological modeling. Study on single geophysics technique has been carried out both at home and aboard to different degrees. However, the application research on integrated geophysics technique for predicting residual oil at the middle and later stage of development in old oilfield has been rarely reported. Therefore, the research on integrated geophysics technique in reservoir was carried out, which includes many disciplines, such as geology, seismology, logging, petrophysics, reservoir modeling and hydrocarbon development. Based on the high-resolution imaging of high-precision 3-D seismic data, 3-D multi-wave seismic data from digital three-component geophone, interwell seismic data and 3-D VSP data, two synthetic application techniques were proposed, including multi-data well-seismic joint reservoir inversion for providing the 3-D spatial detailed geophysical property model, and multi-scale data matching determinacy reservoir modeling based on high-precision structural interpretation as well as reservoir interpretation. The technique was applied in Ken71 well area to predict residual oil, with good result achieved. Five re-shooting and changing-layer wells were implemented in terms of prediction result, and thirteen new wells were deployed. The drilling results almost coincide with prediction result and five percent of hydrocarbon recovery can be increased based on estimation.
